The Jurist, also known as The Lawyer, depicts the facial features of a lawyer with fish for his mouth and chin, a hatchling for the nose and eyebrows and a cooked chicken as his cheeks. The rest of the body is composed of books and documents. The artwork is thought to be a portrait of German vice chancellor Ulrich Zasius. There are two versions of this painting. One is currently in the National Museum of Art in Stockholm while the other is held by a private collector in Milan.
