The Bus

– The subjects in the painting clearly show the influence of the political attitude of her husband Diego Rivera. Each subject represents a different social class in Mexican society.
– Frida Kahlo was often remembered only as Diego Rivera’s wife but during the 1970s and 1980s she gained recognition for her work along with other famous Mexican artists. Today she is more famous than her husband, perhaps in part due to the 2002 movie “Frida”
