St. Martin in the Fields depicts a child selling flowers Trafalgar Square. Logsdail is mostly known for his “plein air” paintings similar to St. Martin in the Fields. Much of the picture was painted from a horse-drawn wagon parked opposite Moreley’s Hotel and looking north across Trafalgar Square. The painting is now part of the Tate gallery.
