Georges Chicotot was a physician with credentials in both painting and radiology. He was the head of radiotherapy at the Hôpital Broca. His paintings were mostly based on anatomy which he also taught in the School of Practical Anatomy. The painting shows Dr. Georges Chicotot treating a patient while holding a watch to measure the time of exposure. This painting is now at Musée de l’Assistance Publique, Hopitaux de Paris.
